MRI Today!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Melissa has not felt well in over a month.  As a result of explaining that to her doctors, they called for yet another MRI.  Needless to say, neither of us is thrilled about it...and frankly, neither of us think it will reveal any cause to her issues.  The MRI is scheduled for today and we get the results Monday afternoon.

Sometime this weekend, I will complete the final post on our vacation.  I have to say, I have been kind of "home sick" since leaving San Diego.  The weather in Virginia is garbage in comparison and I think about that every time I step outside.  Doubt I could afford to live there currently, but one day...who knows?

Little man has a birthday on Monday.  He will be 6 years old.  Man, he is growing up fast!  We are throwing him a small party at the bowling alley this Sunday.  Very late notice for most...so turn out looks bleak.  I plan on making some calls to assure some other kids come.

  1. Hi CW - my name is Anner and I'm the Chair of the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk. I came across your blog while I was trying to look-up something. It initially caught my attention because I married into the Barr family, so naturally I wonder if we're somehow related. Then I started reading and was completely drawn in. You tell a powerful story in plain English (a gift to be sure). You really capture the frustration of cancer and give voice to brain cancer.

I don't have any magic words, but your blog touched me and I just wanted to let you know.

I'll subscribe to your blog and keep you in my thoughts. I hope the docs can at least help Melissa feel a bit better.

    Good luck.
    hugs,
    Anner

    1. Thanks Anner! Blogging has become a passion of mine...one of the few things I have pulled from the wreckage of cancer. It all started as a way to just keep track of what was going on, but it is so much more than that now. Thank you for your kind words...and I will keep blogging as long as I have words to share.

  2. I wholly get your frustration about tests particularly if you are dealing with more than one hospital or provider. I sometimes feel like they just want billable hours and forget how hard all these tests are on everyone involved mentally and physically.
