5/6/2013 - 5/7/2013

I love blogging, though I would much rather it not be under these circumstances.  It is a lot easier than most think.  For me, laying my thoughts out in writing has always come a touch easier than trying to present them verbally, but I do love a good conversation.  The best general part of blogging, for me, is being able to go back and read what I wrote months back.  The blog serves several other functions and is quite handy for people dealing with Cancer in their lives.  The blog has helped limited phone calls and having to answer the same questions over and over.  The blog is also a great place to send someone who wants to know your story...one that happens so fast, in such a blur, that the only way to get the entire story is by documented record.

You never know who might read your blog.  I joke all the time that "You never know, maybe Opera will read the blog."  Not sure what would happen if she did...haha.  My blog has touched many people, besides my family and friends.  From fellow brain tumor warriors to a nice kid doing a high-school project on how hope effects recovery, I have been able to tell me story to many many people.

Blogging is far easier than most think.  There are many websites to choose from to host your blog, but I do like Blogger.  The mobile app needs some work, but the rest of the site is easy to use and navigate.  Blogger also has an extensive help section, to tackle even the wildest of questions.

When in doubt, blog it out!

  3. To the author...I am very sorry for what you and your wife are going through and hate to post on your blog in this way...but I think you should know that Kim Burns is randomly posting inane comments on all the blogs (including mine) that she can find. Here's more information on the person she is touting. "Fredda Branyon of Scottsdale, Arizona, who has made thousands off sick and desperate individuals, thinks. Ms. Branyon started buying umbilical cords and cord blood tissue from a Del Rio birthing center in 2009. Then, with no training regarding stem cell development or the legal ability to do so, she manufactured hundreds of vials of "stem cells". She sold 183 vials of "stem cells" for more than $300,000, to Francisco Morales, who worked with the lab she owned, Global Laboratories. Morales, in turn, led his patients to believe he was a doctor (he isn't) and was arrested in Texas for treating people with cancer and multiple sclerosis in "treatments" not approved by the FDA. Branyon pleaded guilty during an investigation by the FDA and FBI in 2011. She was facing 3 years in jail and a $10,000 fine. I hope she is cooling her heels in prison as I write."

  4. Les --

I don't know who you are and Fredda Branyon.

I have stage 4 cancer, and I started to read some blogs with my free time. And those articles that I've read, there's you with hard comments that I don't know what is your problem?

Do you ever had a battle in life? like live or die?? I guess the answer is NO.

The best thing to do is just pray you will never experience one, one day.

    1. Madison: I am sorry for your illness. I am reading Les' blog and if you take a minute for that, you will find that, you will find that she has stage 4 cancer too. She is also smart and compassionate and I believe her judgement about Branyon as an snake oil salesman. People
who try to profit on other persons illness are sickening!
